Overall, I really enjoyed The London Séance Society. Penner has a gift for language, and her descriptions of the characters and setting were simply stunning.


Penner did a great job of transporting me to Victorian London, and I could almost feel the fog and the gaslights. The setting was vividly brought to life.Lenna and Vaudeline were both strong and independent women, and I found myself rooting for them throughout the story.
