Wrath presented her with a choice: die, or flood the city. She looked for Lore for years, first unable to find her because of a god's gift, but then because of her capture by Wrath. Tidebringer feared for Lore's safety after she learned that Athena had been hunting Lore down. Tidebringer felt that they were weak and unwilling to change, and that their fate was an inevitability. That which refuses to change destroys itself. She was a huntress as a mortal, but the misogyny disturbed her. Lore and Tidenringer conversed until Lore witnessed Tidebringer be killed by Athena.Īs aloof and haughty as she could be, she did care somewhat for the fate of the bloodline she disliked. Her fears came true before she could find Lore.Īthena found Lore, and they went to Tidebringer's prison. She chose the latter to buy time to find Lore. She was faced by Wrath and his goons, and told that she could die or flood New York. At the Awakening, she was taken and imprisoned, forestalling her efforts. Wanting to seek out Melora to warn her against Athena, she was unable to due to the Feather Necklace and its charm. She had immense disdain for how tradition centric her bloodline was.įor the next century or so she survived. This was seen as a cardinal sin by other bloodlines, and killed her family down to her and Lore's great-grandfather. She killed Poseidon, and thereby gained his power fourteen cycles exactly before the events of the book. Once Rhea Perseous, she was a lioness, who was to weaken prey for the archon to finish off.
